I am glad to present this new online international Social Work Journal, edited by the academic team of the Relational Social Work Research Center of Catholic University of Milan (Italy) together with Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson (Trento).
We can read the inaugural issue that was entirely written by researchers who are members of our editorial board. These preliminary articles illustrate our current theoretical reflections about ‘relational thinking’ in Social Work theory, practice, and education. However, the essence of our new Journal is not purely theoretical. Its main aim is to present to the international scientific community on a regular basis the results of both qualitative and quantitative empirical researches and innovative action-researches conducted in Italy by our RSW academic team applying the Relational Method. Of course, significant relational-oriented papers from all over the world are welcome.
We hope that our Journal will contribute to advancing both Social Work knowledge and practices.
I am grateful to all the colleagues who have helped in the start-up phase of this project and all those who will join us in the future, starting from now.
